La Scam

La Scam represents a diverse community of creators, including directors, interviewers, commentators, writers (novelists, short story authors, comic book authors), translators, journalists, videographers, photographers, and illustrators. Together, they contribute to the documentary and creative richness of the audiovisual, radio, literary, and digital media sectors.

La Scam advocates for its members in their dealings with legislators, producers, and broadcasters. It negotiates their economic rights, collects and distributes royalties, upholds their moral rights, and protects their long-term interests.

The society’s mission is to:

  1. Administer and enforce, worldwide, all rights related to the reproduction or performance of its members’ works in any form, particularly by collecting and distributing royalties derived from these rights;
  2. Promote and protect the economic and social interests of its members through advocacy and support initiatives;
  3. Foster solidarity-based initiatives for the benefit of its members;
  4. Support and enhance the visibility of its repertoire in France and internationally, promoting cultural diversity;
  5. More broadly, safeguard the material and moral rights of its members.
